ELIXIR has released an Impact Toolkit providing practical guidance on the process of impact evaluation. Although primarily an internal guide for the ELIXIR community, the toolkit contains resources which may be of interest to those undertaking impact evaluation in a similar research infrastructure setting.

The toolkit collates a range of documents including training materials, worked examples, factsheets, lists of indicators, key publications, case studies and presentations. It summarises the knowledge aquired by ELIXIR Node members during varied real-world case studies, which were supported by the EU-funded ELIXIR-CONVERGE project and directly by ELIXIR.

The case studies feature in the report, along with advice and tips on building impact pathways and selecting the most appropriate indicators. For those wishing to explore the subject in more detail, there is a list of freely available recommended training courses and a detailed annotated bibliography.
