A distributed infrastructure for life-science information
ELIXIR presents its Compute service portfolio
The ELIXIR Compute Platform has published a list of compute services offered by ELIXIR Nodes. It covers High Performance Computing facilities, Cloud environments and Big Data services to enable researchers to process, store, transfer and access large volumes of data.
The services are operated by ELIXIR Nodes as part of ELIXIR’s distributed infrastructure. As ELIXIR’s portfolio of services expands, the list will be regularly updated. The aim is to provide a comprehensible overview of compute services offered by ELIXIR to life-sciences research community. The access policy and associated usage cost is set by each service individually and many are able to support users from other countries.
The ELIXIR Compute Platform develops and implements distributed cloud, compute, storage and access services for life-sciences research community. It collaborates with e-Infrastructures, such as GEANT, EUDAT or EGI and with translational and biobanking infrastructures to facilitate access to technical services for secure access and data exchange.
Further information about ELIXIR compute and other services can be found in bio.tools, ELIXIR’s Tools and Data Services registry run by ELIXIR Denmark. Bio.tools provides a comprehensive list of the databases and analysis tools operated by ELIXIR Nodes as well as other service providers worldwide.
